Criminal flag as Red? Red should overrule Criminal

Just noticed getting a Criminal flag as a Red. Why oh why..

To my logic Red flag overrules the Criminal flag meaning you will be that specific time a murderer, which means criminal as well. That saying Reds should be able to riot freely what ever they would like to do as they have achieved that flag after several crimes and that way they have that reputation of being a Red / murderer / Criminal.

I understand that this might be due to making Reds "escaping" little more difficult, or being equal with everyone.

This happened, when I was about to kill someone, but he recalled away and mob was after him, which I then killed and looted. Got a criminal flag from that. Then I tried to use Runebook, but for my surprise I had criminal flag even as I was Red.

According to my UO experience, most of the cases its been that way that Red overrules Criminal flag.

Any thoughts?

Nope, it's never been that way-- if being red overruled being "criminal", reds would be able to kill people in town nonstop, kill people and recall away instantaneously, attack people and run away and recall, etc. Criminal is a temporary status designed to get people to be stuck in a certain location for 2 minutes as repercussion for their criminal deed (UNLESS YOU HAVE SOMEBODY OPEN A GATE FOR YOU, WHICH IS SEVERELY FLAWED-- SEE MY THREAD IN SUGGESTIONS/IDEAS)

That's fair enough. Although in other shards Reds were not able to enter guarded towns. They got zapped / guards ran to them, if someone called guards, or if guards saw them. They had their own towns like they do have here.
